Mr. Alford and his amazing wife Jenny departed Mono Lake and continued their bicycle journey south  through the Sierra Mountains into the arid desert of the southwest.  Mr. Alford's current location is at exactly 4956 feet above sea level.  As the crow flies, he is 50 miles southeast of the highest point in the United States and 30 miles northwest of the lowest point.  Mr. Alford is very near where the hottest temperature on earth has ever been measured.

Can you guess Where in the World is Mr. Alford?  Submit your answers to the Where in the World is Mr. Alford box at the Brookside Library and be entered to win a great prize.

Mr. Alford would also like to remind all of his students to do their burpees!
