It is Sunday December 1st, 2013 and at Mr. Alford's current location it is11:35 am central standard time.  In less than five minutes and a 1/4 mile east of this location, it will be 12:35 pm.  How can that be?  Has Mr. Alford unravelled the mystery of time travel?  Likely not, but solve this conundrum and you'll be well on your way to solving this week's Where in the World is Mr. Alford puzzle.  From where Mr. Alford stands he gazes across a giant concrete structure into the Peach State.

Long gone from the town of Independence and the State of Texas, Mr. Alford and his resilient wife Jenny have been traveling ever east along the Gulf Coast States of America.  Through the bayous of the Sportsman's Paradise and the lands of the Duck Dynasty, Mr. Alford and Jenny pedaled to the shores of the Ol' Man River and ferried into the Big Easy for a couple days of rest and recuperation.

East again they headed, cycling along the longest man made beach in the world, into the Heart of Dixie and through the home of the Blue Angels Naval Demonstration Team.  Despite being the Sunshine State, Mr. Alford and Jenny have awoken several days to frozen water bottles and a frosty tent; winter even comes to The South!  Close to their goal now, Mr. Alford and Jenny continue pedaling towards the rising sun, the second biggest ocean in the world and the end of their American tour.

Can you guess Where in the World is Mr. Alford?  Submit your answers to the Where in the World is Mr. Alford box in the Brookside Library and Mr. Rodgers will be soon be drawing a name for a great prize.  As always Mr. Alford would like to remind all of his students to get at least sixty minutes of exercise every day!
